I found this idea for taking stock of the goings on in my life from Meet Me at Mike’s, a lovely blog full of great eyecandy.
Here’s my Taking Stock for today:
Making : lots of pictures with my cameras
Cooking : homemade meals for my family from a new favorite
Drinking : lots of water and matcha green tea
Reading: Die Empty by Todd Henry
Wanting: to spend time with family and friends
Looking: for new local photo shoot locations
Playing: Yahtzee!
Deciding: whether to commit to no sugars and no grains for a while
Wishing: for 100% inner peace
Enjoying: big belly laughs with my kids in the evenings
Waiting: on God
Liking: writing in my journal daily
Wondering: who I will see at BlogHer next month
Loving: life because it is awesome and everchanging
Pondering: the next couple of books I want to read
Considering: sporting twists for the summer or a whole new hairstyle
Watching: a large whitetail buck deer eat berries from the mulberry tree in my front yard
Hoping: I don’t eat too much cake with all the upcoming birthdays this summer
Marvelling: at amazing cloud formations
Needing: to get more sleep at night
Smelling: fresh peaches and mangoes
Wearing: dresses and bright colors
Following: the road less traveled
Noticing: my tolerance for hot weather is at an all time low
Knowing: the right people love me for who I am unconditionally
Thinking: constantly
Feeling: a deep connection to my kindred spirits
Admiring: the Surface Pro 3 (can’t help it. I’m a gadget girl!)
Sorting: clothes for donation
Buying: popsicles and fresh fruit
Getting: quality time with my kids
Opening: my heart to new people and opportunities
Giggling: at the pictures my children are taking with the NXMini
Feeling: blessed and happy
Going through this little exercise make me grateful for the people and things going well in my life. Plus, it is nice to take a moment every now and then to count your blessings. I think I will do this again every month. Care to join me?

I enjoyed the post and like the idea of “taking stock”. If I get a chance, I think I’ll do this post too… although (thanks to an adorable baby girl) I’m needing more sleep too!
Oh, and I’m admiring the Surface Pro 3 too (although I just upgraded my iPad… I think I need both LOL). I’m a SERIOUS techie gadget freak. I keep reminding Hubs that my birthday is this week, so I need a new gadget… but problem is I’ve got my eye on too many gadgets! I’ve seriously been drooling over the Tamron 16-300 lens for my camera.
And Plated looks very interesting! I checked and they even deliver to me out in the boonies!
Another gadget girl! Yay!! I should go into a store and check out that Surface Pro 3 in person. I fear if I do, I will end up purchasing it. LOL Please do let me know if you do a Taking Stock post. I would love to read it.
Nice Gratefulness post!
Thank you!
