How to Deal with an Opinionated Person **Video**

opinionated

I looked up the word Opinion and here is what I found:

OPINION

1 a view, judgment, or appraisal formed in the mind about a particular matter
2 belief stronger than impression and less strong than positive knowledge
3 a formal expression of judgment or advice by an expert
I know we go throughout our day formulating opinions about this and that. That is a good thing, as it is substance for good conversation and opportunities to learn something new. What is not good about opinions is when you become the object of someone’s said opinion.
Unfortunately, some people use their belief filter to make a judgement about you that you did not necessarily ask for. Have we become so relaxed in basic respect that we offer our opinions to people who do not want or need them? We are all guilty of this, but I believe there is a way to deal with people who do this to you constantly.

While my opinion is playful, there is some realness in it, also. In the end, you can not allow garbage to enter your thoughts. Even if it is coming from “well-meaning” family and friends or non-friends. Sometimes, you have to reject it and keep it moving.

What do Fitness, Ginormous Babies & Coca-Cola Have in Common? **Video**

Well, nothing until I get done weaving them together. I have that mad skill when it comes to my videos. I start on one thing, go off on a few tangents, then bring that story full circle.

I am on week 7 or Uprising #2 of the Revolt Fitness program and so far so good. My energy, over the past six weeks, has improved and I have grown tolerant of working out five days a week. Here is what I have learned: If you want something bad enough, you will stop your moaning and complaining and just do it. I workout because I want results and I workout even when I don’t feel like it. Especially when I don’t feel like it.

My results were awesome the previous week, but this past week, not so much. I am in hopes by saying I was retaining some water weight and craving sugar like crazy at a particular time of the month will be enough information for you to understand my temporary setback in progress. So, this week, at the start of a new Uprising, I have high hopes for a great week. Yesterday’s workout was a nice change of pace. Nichole introduced us to the Tabata workout. Have you heard of this or tried it out? It kicks your behind and makes you feel good all at the same time.

Also, I am doing daily videos for the month of June. I have completed three so far and the one below is my latest. I share my fitness program and go off on a few “related” tangents about giant babies and soda pop. It is me. It is what I do, but I bring it back full circle by the end. Make sure you subscribe to my channel and catch my videos daily. Until next time, make this and every day outstanding!

Three Ways to Bring Balance to Your Life with Writing

Words to live by. Live in the moment.

I woke up earlier than normal this morning with writing on my mind. Since I committed to writing everyday a few weeks ago, it has made a huge difference in my mood and attitude. This is how I am bringing balance into my life with writing:

Commit to Writing Daily. Ideally, I try to write first thing in the morning. If something is still bothering me, I can get it out instead of allowing it to fester. Writing in the morning helps me order my day. As a single working mother, much of my time is devoted to my children and my job. Some days, it can be exhausting, but when it comes down to it, it is my life and I can either be happy in it or complain. I choose to be happy and writing about what is good in my life on a daily basis reminds me to always be in a grateful state of mind.

Find, Join, or Create a Tribe. My friend, Christie sent out an open invitation to join her writing circle on Google+. I have to say, it has been a blessing. For one, I am meeting new, amazing writers and Christie has made this fun and challenging. This year, finding my people (tribe) has been critically important as I pursue projects and the type of life I want to live. Connecting with other writers has helped me explore different genre of writing and taken me out of my comfort zone.

Get Out of Your Comfort Zone. I recent came across a website called The Write Practice. There, they share good information about short story writing. I used to write short stories when I was younger, but it is not something I have done in years, hence, it takes me out of my comfort zone. I figure trying different types of writing will make me a better writer. Plus, I may find out I love writing short stories or fiction or whatever.

Writing can definitely help with finding balance in your life. And, these three ways have made it a meaningful way of connecting for me. What do you do to bring balance in your life?
