There seems to be so much hate lately on the interwebs. Here is what I have to say about all of that hot mess.
What do you think? I know it is not easy, but can you show love to people who do you wrong?

As much as my ego is resisting what you are saying, I know you are right. This is a good strategy for dealing with the trolls. When I just try to ignore them, it feels like something is missing. I guess I just love homework. This gives me something to do instead of the course of action being - don’t do anything, don’t feel anything. The “you shouldn’t even care, don’t let it bother you, just ignore them” advice really wasn’t resonating with me.
Dalia, it is a challenge for me, too. We can actively change the energy of their negativity and in the end, we will be better for taking the higher road.
I just love you so much.
The feeling is mutual, my wonderful friend.
I love this video. I agree. I wear a ring that has “ALWAYS FORGIVE” stamped on it in tiny letters. I had it made because my pastor asked us one Sunday to consider that perhaps we didn’t know the other person’s story. She told us to just be willing to say “I don’t know why they did that.” It helped me heal from a huge grievance I had in my head with my old boss, whom I had spent YEARS resenting. I suddenly realized I had no idea why she had done what she was doing, but she must have had reasons that made sense to her.
Once I could get that distance, I could feel empathy for her, because I’m sure there are times when people have mistaken my actions and intentions, too.
In other words, haters have their own reasons. If we just shun them and don’t listen to what is behind their words - what their real needs and wants are - we dismiss them as human beings, and my belief is that we are called to try and see people as the fullest version of themselves that we can.
The ring is a great reminder. I know forgiveness has not always been easy for me, but it has become easier the older I have gotten. I am so glad you like the video. Thank you.
This is the first I’ve gotten to see of you and your voice but wow. Just. Wow. Thank you. What a beautiful way to approach it. Sometimes we forget that the most important thing we have to do is act in a way that doesn’t let the negativity change who we are. I’m not a hateful person. I refuse to let someone else’s issues dictate who I am and how I handle things. I’m loving and kind. So this is perfect. Thank you for your voice! I shared on Facebook. We need a lot more beauty and love and a whole lot less ugly and hate.
Thank you. You are beautiful and your message is spot on!
