Samsung’s #DitchtheDSLR Movement Hits Hollywood

After the success of the New York Times Square #DitchtheDSLR day, Samsung will have another event at Hollywood and Highland Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, October 14th. You will have the opportunity to stop by and check out some of the newest, slimmest and most connected Samsung SMART cameras to date. You can also Ditch a DSLR (trade in) and receive a new NX30 or NX Mini SMART Camera while supplies last.

Later in the afternoon, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles will join Samsung, Nick Cannon and Julianne Hough to break a Guinness World Record. Samsung will donate $50,000 once the record is set.

To be eligible for Ditch day, consumers must have the following items:

  • DSLR Body
  • Lens
  • Battery

Location:

Hollywood and Highland Center, 6801 Hollywood Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90028

Time:

  • 9:00 am – VIP Press ditch by invite only
  • 10:00 am – Consumer ditching begins
  • 3:00 pm – Guinness World Record Attempt

If you are in the area, I hope you have the chance to check out the cameras. I have been impressed by the quality of images I have been able to shoot with my Samsung cameras. The brand has been great about listening to the suggestions of the Imageloggers group I am a part of and we all geek out when he hear a new camera is on the way so we can share with you.

Here’s to an exciting season of shooting. Make sure you get out and take in some of the beautiful Fall weather and photo opportunities.
