For about a year, I have been consuming a lot less information from online sources than I used to. I used to have a steady stream of blogs I read on a daily basis and I started to notice a few things:
- I was not producing any photography I was proud of.
- Writing had become a struggle and I stopped keeping a journal.
- Some of life’s challenges were overwhelming me and crushing my creativity.
Reading about other people’s lives made me feel like my life was not as important or as exciting as my friends. I was working a full-time job I hated, struggling to maintain my creative voice and raising three children by myself. So, I figured who in the hell wanted to see or hear about that?
Then it hit me.
This is who I am. The good, the bad and the in-between make up my unique life. I have a lot of in-between moments that sustain me from one good moment to the next, and so do you. This week’s video is about taking a media fast and choosing to be the main inspiration for your life. All those little things that make you uniquely you will show up in your photos when you become your muse and your own inspiration.
So, will you join me for a few days of being inspired by you? You won’t regret it!
